Rob's photos from the first installs, put to work: on the Christmas Lights Google profile, in the posts going out from now to December, and in the ads. Also the Google Ads budget for the season ahead.
Updated October 9: the earlier lights posts and photos are out, four of Rob's newest photos are in, Option B is running in the ads with both lines, Reels 2 and 4 are running as ads too, and every ad now carries the $150 early season offer.
Every photo on the Sierra Christmas Lights Whistler profile now comes from Rob's shoot: the eight picked from it, and one of his newest night shots as the cover. They show the crew at work on real installs and a finished display lit up, which is what people look through when they find the profile on Google Maps.
Reviews are the quickest way up the map results now the photos are in. This link opens the review box for the Christmas Lights profile directly, ready to send to clients:
Twelve lights posts using Rob's photos are scheduled on Instagram, Facebook and the Christmas Lights Google profile, from October 11 to December 14. Every lights post this season now uses his photos. Five go out in October while the installs are under way and before the searching starts, then about one a week to mid December.
The five earlier lights posts are out. Rob's photos 254, 263, 266 and 267 took their places on October 27, November 8, November 20 and December 14, and the December 7 post moved to December 2, so a post still goes out every three days through the season.
Two review posts that mention Christmas lights also go out on November 14 and December 11, and a Christmas message on December 23. Every lights post now goes to the Christmas Lights Google profile as well as Instagram and Facebook, so that profile shows regular activity through the season.
Option B is running, in both lines: "Stay off the ladder" and "Full Service", with the lights border flashing like the current ads. Rob's Reels 2 and 4 are running as ads too, one in each line. Everything is in the same campaign, on the same $25 a day, alongside the ads that were already running, so Meta can show more of whichever gets the better response.
Every ad now has the offer in its text, straight after the opening line:
"Get $150 off your first season when you book before November 1."
It is in the wording only, not on the images or the posts, and it comes off the ads on October 31 when the offer ends.
The Google search ad shows it too, as a "$150 off Your First Season" promotion and a "$150 Off, Book by Oct 31" line under the ad. Both are set inside Google to stop after October 31.

The Christmas lights search campaign has been raised to $10 a day, up from $6, so it is ready for the searches that build from early November.
Google only spends when somebody searches and clicks, so at this time of year it uses what the searches allow, about $4 a day so far. The higher budget means that once the searching picks up after Halloween, the ad keeps showing through the day instead of stopping when the budget runs out.
The next video from Rob goes into the campaign the same way once it's in. Reels 2 and 4 also go out as posts on Instagram and Facebook.
Your pick of Rob's newest photos for sierralights.ca, including the Drew Drive edit for the top of the homepage, and they go onto the site.
